mathematician whose work laid the foundations for group theory and Galois
Theory. He passed away in a duel at the age of 20 for reasons still unknown.
Kenji’s phone rings.
He also receives a notice that it is an important call from Manaka, and he
should pick it up immediately.
健二：（電話…マナカちゃんだ）もしもし、マナカちゃん？
愛花：もしもし、ごめんね。
Man, she sounds like hammered shit. What’s going on?
健二：どうした？
愛花：わたし…風邪ひいちゃって。
Called it. She’s fallen ill.
健二：風邪？大丈夫なの？
愛花：うん。そんなにひどくないから。心配しなくて、大丈夫。ただ運動はできないから…。
健二：風邪のときまで部活のこと考えるなって。それより早く治せよ。
愛花：そうだね、ありがとう。…じゃあね。
健二：（愛花ちゃんが風邪か…）…（お見舞い、行ってみようかな）

It is named お見舞い, and also requires 10 mana points like the previous special command 休養 (see 17 November)
Under his wingman’s orders, he shifts his club activity slot to pay her a
visit instead.

健二：今日は調子がいいな。なんか体が軽いぞ！
No one to talk to him this time: Manaka is still at home resting.
It’s 3 pm. Time to meet Manaka. I
hope you brought flowers, Kenji.

健二：（マナカちゃんの具合、どうかな…）

愛花：はーい！
健二：マナカちゃん。俺だけど。
愛花：うそ？ま、まだダメ…。いいよ、入って。
…
愛花：健二くん。
健二：ほら、お待ちかねだろ？なんつって。
愛花：うん、待ってた。
健二：あれ、いつもより素直だな。
愛花：いつも素直だよ？
健二：はは、そうだな。喜んでくれたら、来た甲斐があった。
愛花：こういうの、ちょっとあこがれてたから。病気になると、カレシがお見舞いに来てくれるの。
健二：お見舞いする方は、できれば来ないで済む方がいいんだけどな。
They talk for a while.
健二：あんまり長くいたら、体に悪いよな。そろそろ帰るよ。
愛花：また、来てくれる？
健二：ああ、また来るよ。じゃあな。（マナカちゃん、早くよくなるといいな）
During the evening, he has his dinner at the riverside restaurant.
健二：ここ、デートの帰りに来るのにいいかもな。
As he falls asleep, he thinks this to himself:
健二：そろそろ調子出てきたかな。このまま一週間乗り切るか。
He thinks about texting her, but then he realises he probably shouldn’t be
disturbing her, and scratches the idea.
健二：（マナカちゃん、体調悪くて寝てるかもしれない。メールはやめよう。）
While he drifts into slumber, he imagines Manaka telling him:
これじゃ…お客には出せないよ。
