Kenji’s luck is looking horrible today.

They walk to school together.

愛花：あっ。

Huh?

健二：ん？

愛花：あそこにいる男の子が持ってるのって、なに？

健二：ああ、あれはゲームだよ。携帯ゲーム機。

Not surprising to find one of these. Though their popularity is being eroded somewhat by mobile phones. Quite a lot of games are still best played on a handheld console, though. Can’t beat the functionality of shoulder buttons.

愛花：そうなんだ…じゃあ、学校に持ってきちゃダメだよね？

No rule against that when I was in school. As long as you are not caught playing it, just carrying it around is fine. Then again such a rule would definitely cause a mass revolt in my school. Hell, they took offense from the vice-principal saying that they are not nerds. 

My school was really relaxed when it comes to electronic devices: it’s one of the rare schools to have Wifi within the school for the students to use.

健二：見つかった没収だろうな。なに、誰か持って着てたの？

As I mentioned earlier, as long as you are not in a lesson, walking around my school with a handheld game console (like the one I am playing this game with) is fine.

愛花：うん、クラスメイトの女の子が、何人か。すごく燃えるって言ってたけど、どんなゲームがあるの？

健二：あー…どっちの意味だろう…。

愛花：どっちって？

健二：（これはどう説明すればいいんだ？）

健二：ん、今日の中華もうまい！

愛花：ふふ、よかった。

健二：でもさ、いつも大変じゃないか？こんな豪華なお弁当…俺も嬉しいけど。

愛花：ぜんぜん。だって、あなたの笑顔がわたしにとってはご馳走だから。…なんて。ね、次はないが食べたい？

They walk home together.

愛花：ねぇ、ウサギを飼うなら、どんな品種がいいかな？

健二：品種…ウサギってそんなに品種いたっけ？

愛花：ネザーランドドワーフ、ロップイヤー、アンゴラ…。

They hold hands as they walk home together.

Kenji then goes to the live house for a jazz concert.

健二：やっぱりジャズはいいな。スウィングしないりゃ意味がない！

He then returns home to sleep. As he goes to sleep, he imagines Manaka telling him
