During the morning, Kenji goes for his tennis club.

健二：今日は調子がいいな。このまま頑張るぞ！

愛花：大声で応援したら、やっぱり恥ずかしいよね？

He then goes for his library committee.

女子：あの。探して本があるんですけど…。

健二：はい…。

…

健二：はい、これですね。

女子：ありがとう、助かりました。

健二：（普段から勉強しておいてよかった…）

愛花：ふふ、やったね？

During the late evening, he goes to the botanical gardens.

愛花：健二くん。

健二：マナカちゃん？

愛花；やっぱり、あなただった。

健二：えっ？

愛花：遠くから、ちらっと見えただけだったの。ふふ、追いかけてきてよかった。

They talk for a while before they split up.

健二：っと、そろそろ行くかな。

愛花：そっか、そうだね。

健二：ああ、じゃあな。

愛花：じゃあね！

健二：なんだかリフレッシュできた気がする！これが植物の力ってやつか。

It’s time for his date.

I’ve warped his time backwards by 4 hours for this. I’ll set it back once his date is over.

He arrives at the station early.

愛花：髪型変えちゃった。どう？

健二：そうだな…。

Seems ok actually.

健二：いいと思うよ。

愛花：ふふ、やった

Manaka is dressed in a blue jeans and a matching blue top.

愛花：あなたが一番気に入りそうな服って、どんなのかなっていろいろ考えて…。

愛花：女の子らしい服を選んでみたんだ。可愛く見えたら、いいんだけど。

健二：そうだな…。いいと思うよ。

愛花：嬉しい！あなたのために変えてみたの、ふふ。

Manaka wants Kenji to kiss her outside the station.

愛花：お願い…。

They take the train towards the seaside station.

愛花：喉渇いちゃった。ね、お茶にしよっか？

健二：いいね、そうしよう。

At the restaurant…

健二：（マナカちゃんのこと、そろそろ別の呼び方してみるかな…？）

He evaluates his options:

4. マナカ姫
5. やっぱり、このまま

Uhhh… on second thoughts, never mind.

健二：ま、いっか…。

愛花：…？

They make their way towards the event hall.

愛花：いいお天気だね？

健二：ああ…あ！マナカちゃん、こっち！

〈バシッ！〉

What was that?

健二：危なかった…なんなんだ、まったく。

愛花：ありがとう…どこから降ってきたのかな…。

Nice save, Kenji. Danged killer litter.

健二：（次からここを歩くときは気を付けよう）

They arrive at the event hall.

Today’s event is pro wrestling.

愛花：ね、勝った人が使ってた技って、なに？

健二：腕ひしぎ十字固め、だな。興味がわいた？

愛花：うん、ちょっとだけ。あれって、やっぱり痛いのかな。

健二：そりゃあ、かなり効くんじゃないか？元々は柔道の技だし、あれ。

愛花：そうなんだ。かけ方、わかる？

健二：まあ…まさか、体験してみたいとか？なんで？

愛花：あなたなら、耐えられるんじゃないかな？って。ほら、鍛えてるし。

健二：え!?技、かける方!?

愛花：もちろん。１回だけ！ね？

健二：（ほ、本気だ!?）

They kiss outside the event hall.

愛花：これからも、たくさんしようね？

Manaka still wants to be with Kenji a while longer, so Kenji suggests the live house.

愛花：見て、あのネコちゃん。気持ち良さそうに寝てる。

健二：塀の上で、器用だよなー。

愛花：うん。わたしだったら、すぐに下に落ちちゃいそう。

健二：マナカちゃんって寝相悪いの？

Wouldn’t you know the answer? Considering you travelled with her last December (see 20 December 2014)? Anyway, I did remember this conversation being on 4 January.

愛花：もう、女の子にそんなこと聞かないで？

They arrive at the live house, where a performance by 劇団とんがりボウシ is on.

愛花：ね、主役をやってた女優さんって…。

健二：ああ、有名だよな？最近だと、朝の連ドラに出てた。

愛花：そっか、それで見覚えあったんだ。

健二：ちなみに相手役の男も出てたぞ！主人公が小さいときの父親役で。

愛花：あ！ね、あなたも見てるの？

健二：マナカちゃんが見てるテレビでは、どんなのやってるかなーって気になってさ。朝の連ドラだったら、父親さんもOKなんじゃないかなーと思って。で、こっそり見てた。

愛花：どうして、そんなステキなこと、してくれるの？…もう。これ以上、夢中にさせないで。

They hide away to kiss.

Or at least, that’s what I imagine the two doing.

愛花：今日みたいなキス、次は…してるね。

Manaka is feeling hungry now, so they go to the ramen house.

健二：ところでさ…。

愛花：うん。なに？

健二：マナカちゃんってさ、自分のこと、ヤキモチ妬くほうだと思う？

愛花：うん、きっとそう。だって、イヤだもん。あなたが他の子と仲良くなっちゃったりしたら。

Well, can’t say that was unexpected.

愛花：高嶺 愛花は全力で妬いちゃいます！…なんて。

This is starting to get out of hand…

健二：（マナカちゃんの全力のヤキモチ…ちょっと気になる…）

Yeah… her turning into a Yandere would be a really nasty prospect. I'd be worried as well.

Kenji is slightly shaken, but they walk to the station together. Manaka wants Kenji to kiss her.

愛花：こういうの、イヤ？

Sorry, Manaka. Some of my worry may have rubbed off onto Kenji.

They kiss at the station.

They take the train back to their neighbourhood.

愛花：ふふ、かわいいカップル。…なんて言ったら、失礼かな？

健二：おじいさんもおばあさんもニコニコしてていい感じだな。

愛花：あんな風に歳を重ねていけたら、気お幸せだろうなぁ。

健二：うん。俺らの目標にしようか？

愛花：ふふっ、賛成。ちょっとずつ近づいていけるといいね？

They arrive back at Manaka’s house. Manaka wants Kenji to give her a goodbye kiss, which Kenji happily obliges.

For a quiet neighbourhood at night, there really seems to be a lot of activity.

愛花：大好きよ？…心から。

Kenji returns home to sleep. He receives a notice:

夢イベントが出現しました。寝るコマンドを実行するとイベントを見ることができます。

A dream event has been unlocked. Press the “Sleep” command to view it.

健二：そろそろ寝るか。今日はなんとなくいい夢が見られる気がするぞ。

He drifts off to sleep. He imagines Manaka telling him…

はぬ～んって言わなきゃ許さない…。

健二：…ここはどこだ？ずいぶん薄暗いけど…。

Hold on. I’m calibrating the PASIV device.

愛花：しーっ、ロミオ。家の者に見つかります。声を低くしてください。

Kenji is hanging off a ledge. Manaka is at the window, holding her hand out to him. She is wearing a Renaissance-era top.

健二：その声は…マナカちゃん!?ちょっと待った、この格好は…。

愛花：このドレスですか？目立つといけないと思って、地味なものを選んだのです。似合いませんか？

健二：悪くないけど…それより、ロミオって？

愛花：そう…あなたはロミオ。ああロミオ、あなたはどうしてロミオなの？

“O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?”

健二： 俺はロミオじゃ…。

愛花：優しいロミオ…わたしのために名を捨ててくれるというのですか？

“Deny thy father and refuse thy name;”

健二：あの…ていうか、君はジュリエット？

愛花：忘れてしまったの？愛しいロミオ…。わたしたちの愛は誰にも許されない。ああ、こんなに近くであなたを感じているのに…。

健二：なあマナカちゃん、これって何かのお芝居？

愛花：そう、世間の前ではわたしたちはお互いの関係を隠さなければなりませんでした…でも、そんなお芝居はもうたくさんです！お願い、ロミオ。わたしをここから連れ出して！あなたと二人、どこか静かなところで暮らしたい…。

健二：だめだって、そんなの！家の人も心配するぞ？

愛花：かまいません。わたしにとっては家よりも家族よりも、あなた一人のほうが大切なのです。だから…。

健二：（今日のマナカちゃん…すごく情熱的でドキドキしちゃうな…）

愛花：お願いです。わたしの手を取り、この窮屈な檻から解き放ってください！

健二：う…うん！わかった！

愛花：さあ、もっと手を伸ばして…わたしはここです。

健二：（うう…二階だからなかなか手が届かない…）

Kenji reaches his hand out to Manaka Juliet.

愛花：ああ…ロミオ、これでわたしも自由になれるのですね…。

衛兵：貴様！そこで何をしている！

Intruder alert! Intruder alert! Better think fast, Kenji!

愛花：あっ！見回りの者が…逃げて、ロミオ！

健二：ジュリエットは!?

愛花：わたしのことは、心配いりません！今はとにかく、お一人で逃げてください！

Dang it, I could take these guys if the PASIV device allowed me to directly participate.

健二：でも、君を置いていくわけには…俺もこの剣で戦う！

That’s the spirit, Kenji!

愛花：ロミオ、わたしのために危険を…。

健二：この世界、君がいなければ生きている意味などないに等しい…。ならばこの命、君と共にあるために、燃やし尽くすのみ！

愛花：ロミオ！

衛兵：な！貴様はモンタギュー家の…！

健二：お前に恨みはない、だか俺とジュリエットの間に立ち塞がるものに、容赦はしない！

Kenji draws out his sword, ready for battle.

健二：行くぞ！

愛花：ロミオォォーーーー!!

Kenji stumbles out of his bed.

健二：ジュリエットォッ！…あれ？夢か…ハァ…。それにしても、ジュリエットの服、似合ってたな、マナカちゃん…。

He receives a late-night message from Manaka.

愛花：珍しく遅くまで起きてたら、ママからもう寝なさいって言われちゃった。

Good night you two. 


Afterword: 

In the light novels and anime, while Aragaki Ayase did show Yandere tendencies, they were only for dramatic effect and they were a natural manifestation of her reserved aggressive side. It was only in the non-canon visual novel where Ayase actually went full-out Yandere.
