Kenji’s luck is not looking good today.

During the morning, Kenji goes for his art class.
担任：あなた最近、頑張ってるみたいね。
健二：そうですか？
担任：えぇ、他の先生方からも、態度が真面目で好感がもてるって評判よ？その調子でね。
健二：（そっか、行動に気を付けてるからかな…）
愛花：すごい！わたしの自慢のカレシだもんね？ふふ♥
During lunch break, Manaka talks to
Kenji.
愛花：健二くん。一つだけ、聞いていい？
健二：うん。いいけど？
愛花：ねぇ？わたしね、ちょっと髪型、変えてみようかなと思って。リクエスト、あるかな？
健二：髪型か…うーん、そうだな…。
Kenji evaluates his options:
- マナカちゃんと言えばロング
- やっぱショートでしょ
- セミロングかな
- 今のままがいい
He chooses option 1, since he likes Manaka with long
hair.
健二：俺は、ロングのマナカちゃんが一番いいな。
愛花：そうなんだ。ふぅん…どうして？
健二：初めて会った頃のマナカちゃんは、髪が長かっただろ？
愛花：うん。ずっと、伸ばしてたから。
健二：長い髪がキラキラ揺れて、あぁ、きれいだなって思った。
愛花：もう…そんなことばっかり。でも、うれしい。
健二：（マナカちゃんはやっぱりロングだよな、うん）
Since there is no one looking at them in the
classroom, Kenji takes the opportunity to kiss Manaka.
During the late afternoon, Kenji goes for his library
committee.
愛花：ふふ。遊びに来ちゃった。
健二：マナカちゃん、どうしたの？
愛花：ふふ、会いたくなっちゃったんだ。
Manaka passes him a nicely wrapped box.
愛花：あのね。差し入れ、作ってきたんだ。どうぞ。
Why does
this remind me of saccharine 90s romance TV series?
健二：（お取り寄せ紅茶をもらった）ありがと。疲れが吹っ飛ぶよ。
Kenji wants to kiss Manaka to thank her.

愛花：ん？どうかした？
健二：ほら、誰も見てないし、な？
愛花：もしかして…今ここで？
健二：…ダメ？
愛花：悪いんだ。見つかっても、知らないから。
Manaka moves closer to Kenji.
愛花：甘えさせて、ほしいな。
Kenji kisses Manaka.
愛花：すごく、幸せな気分…。
After kissing, Manaka playfully tells off Kenji, like
she always does after kissing in the school.
愛花：メッ！学校でこんなことして、反省しなさい。
健二：はーい。
愛花：ふふ♥ じゃあわたし、行くね。邪魔しちゃって、ごめんね。
健二：（よーし、がんばるか！）
Kenji returns home for the evening to style himself.
健二：今日はかなりきまったな。結構カッコいいかも！
He wonders if he should give Manaka a present in
return for what she did earlier this afternoon.
健二：（…そうだ。マナカちゃんに何かプレゼントしようかな）
He evaluates his options:
- よし、プレゼントしよう！
- やっぱりいいや
健二：（今度買い物に出かけるか…）
While I do
prefer that he does something with a more personal touch instead of buying
stuff off the shelf, I am not in complete direct control of him.
Actually, I
would prefer it that way. It would get too creepy if I had more control over
Kenji.
愛花：あのね。私の髪型なんだけど、下ろしてるのと結ってるの、どっちが好きかな？
Kenji evaluates his options.
- 下してるのに決まってる
- 結ってる方がいい！
- どっちがいいや
Kenji chooses the second option, since he likes Manaka’s
hairstyle that she had when they first met.
健二：結ってる方がいい！
愛花：そっか、それなら髪は結うようにしような。その方が、喜んでくれるよね
Kenji goes to sleep. As he drifts off to sleep, he
imagines Manaka telling him:
じゃあ今日はもう、寝ちゃおっか？
