健二：瘦せてる土地なんかだと、栄養が足りてない分を虫からいただくんだよな。そこにあるウツボカズラはデカくて立派だけどさ、肥えた場所で育ててると小さくなるんだよ。
愛花：ふぅん…。
健二：あの中に入ってる、虫を分解するための液体もただの水になっちゃうんだってさ。
愛花：良く知ってるね。そういうこともお勉強してるの？

Manaka walks home to her house.

健二：よし、今日は他校との練習試合だ。がんばるぞ。

Kenji then goes to the hills to ski.
健二：今日は結構上手く滑れたな。なんか調子がいいぞ。

体調を崩したので、「休養」が出現しました。

plans. You’re not going to the amusement park this evening.
Kenji returns home to rest.
健二：暇だけど…何かする元気もないしな。
Kenji receives an automated message.

Kenji goes to sleep. He thinks about how fun the date
was this morning, even if he didn’t win the tennis match today.
健二：今日のデートは楽しかったな。マナカちゃんがいつもより近くに感じて、すごくドキドキした。
I totally
apologise for the total lack of planning that caused Kenji to lose this tennis
match. Had I known what it entailed, I would have pushed the date back a few
hours ahead. At least he had a good date with Manaka, so he got that going for him, which was nice.
