know it’s CNY Eve here, but it doesn’t give you an excuse to wake up late.
健二：マナカちゃん…おはよ…。
愛花：ふふ。あなた見てると、一緒に寝たくなっちゃうから不思議。
健二：うん、ぜひ…。
愛花：ふふっ、もう。ほら、起きて？遅刻しちゃうよ？
They walk to school together. Not like Kenji has any choice

健二：そろそろひな祭りだな。マナカちゃんの家は、雛飾りとかやる？
Hinamatsuri, also known as Girls’ Day, is celebrated on 3 March every year. Platforms covered
with a red carpet are used to display a set of ornamental dolls (雛人形 hina-ningyō) representing the Emperor, Empress,
attendants, and musicians in traditional court dress of the Heian period.
愛花：うん、もちろん。２月中には出したよ？
健二：そんなに早く出すもんなの？
愛花：うん。早く出して、ひな祭りが終わったらすぐにしまうのが慣わしみたい。
健二：そうなんだ。でも、なんで？綺麗なんだからしばらく飾っといても良さそうなのに。
愛花：…。
健二：ん？
愛花：わたしは、少しくらいしまう日が遅くなっても大丈夫…かな？ふふっ。
健二：（…？）
They walk home together. They hold hands as they walk
home together.

just found out this year’s Children’s Day is on 2 October.
Kenji calls Manaka out for a short date at the fast
food restaurant.
They meet outside the fast food restaurant.
健二：ところでさ…。
愛花：うん。なに？
健二：マナカちゃんはさ、恋愛って、どんな風に考えてる？
愛花：恋なんてしなかったら嫉妬とか、ヤキモチとか…そんなイヤな感情、知らずに済んだのかな。…なんて、思ったりするよ？本当のこと、言うと。
健二：そっか…。
愛花：でも、その分…ううん、それ以上に素敵なことも教えてもらってる。だから、手放せないの。こんなの初めてだから、今は迷ってばっかり。わたしをこんな子にした責任、ちゃんと取ってね？…なんて。
