for yesterday: I had to clear up some things yesterday.
Sunday is
usually my busiest day for this week set, with mandatory library volunteer work
and then family outings.
Therefore,
this time I had to shift the time back by a whopping 14 hours. It’s unavoidable
these days, and it is likely going to worsen given that I will be moving to my
hostel next Sunday. It’s a single room, so playing that game would not
constitute a social issue.
Kenji hurries over to the train station.
愛花：うん、ジャスト。時間に正確な人って好きだな。
健二：ありがと。
愛花：髪型変えちゃった。どう？
Her
hairstyle now really looks like Honoka’s hairstyle, except the side ponytail is
mirrored.
健二：そうだな…。いいな、そういうの。
愛花：ふふ、やった♥
Manaka is wearing a purple blouse with pink polka dots
and white bermudas.
I do hope
I’m using correct terminology here.
愛花：最近、こういう可愛いのが好きなんだけど、どう？カレシとして感想を聞かせてくれない？
健二：そうだな…。いいんじゃない。
愛花：ほんと？よかった。あなたのことなら、なんでもわかるんだから、なんて。準備は万端…なんて。
They kiss at the station before setting off.
They arrive at Oku-Towano Station.
愛花：喉渇いちゃった。ね、お茶にしよっか？
健二：いいね、そうしよう。
They go to the riverside restaurant for their early
snack.
愛花：到着。ふふ、なに食べよっか？
In the restaurant…
健二：もうじき、花火の季節だな…浴衣はもう買った？
愛花：ふふっ、バッチリ。楽しみにしててね？
健二：おう！そういや、マナカ姫って浴衣ひとりで着られるの？
愛花：うん。覚えちゃえばカンタンだよ？ただ、浴衣って暑いの。帯のところなんか、特に。だから、長い時間着てるのはツライかも。
健二：へー…じゃ、我慢できなくなったら解くの手伝うよ。そしたら涼しく…。
Something
just seems off with the sentence you said there, Kenji,
Manaka blushes and looks away from Kenji.
愛花：…。
I think you
might want to start apologising to Manaka.
健二：…ん？ち、違う！そういう意味じゃなくて、俺は純粋に、善意で…！
愛花：知りません。
健二：（あああー）

They proceed on to the zoo.
On the way to the zoo, they hear an ambulance siren.
愛花：あっ、救急車。
健二：どうした？
愛花：ね、病気や怪我には、本当に気をつけてね？あなたがいなくなちゃったりしたら、わたし…。
健二：マナカ姫も気を付けてくれよ？マナカ姫がいなくなったら、俺も悲しいからさ。
愛花：はい…。
Manaka wants Kenji to hold her hand as they walk
together. She then moves closer to kiss Kenji.
They arrive at the biking trail.
愛花：ハイキングって、割と体力が要るよね？
健二：だな。おかげでメシがウマイ！
愛花：ふふっ、三割増し？
健二：マナカ姫と一緒だったら、更に倍、だな。
愛花：もっとでしょ？なんて♥ ふふ！
They kiss at the biking trail.
愛花：大好きよ？…心から。
Manaka still has time, so Kenji suggests the zoo.
Manaka agrees with Kenji‘s decision.
On the way to the zoo…
愛花：ああいうアパートのお部屋の広さって、どれくらいかな？
健二：いいとこ四畳半ってとこじゃないか？あそこまで古いと、もっと狭いかもな。
愛花：二人で住むには、さすがに手狭だよね？
健二：うん、まあ…え？
愛花：ふふっ、独り言！
They arrive at the zoo.
健二：さ、着いたよ。
愛花：うん、着いたね？どこ行こっか？うーん、やっぱり決めて？
健二：そうだな…。
Kenji evaluates his options:
- キリン
- ライオン
- ふれあい広場
He decides on the giraffes.
愛花：そこに行くの？あんまり、気が進まないけど。
I think
I’ve understood Manaka’s preferences with visiting the zoo: the petting zoo the
most, then the lions, then the giraffes.
Somehow I
think this is why I would never get a girlfriend.
Nonetheless, Manaka still follows Kenji to see the
giraffes.
愛花：首、あんなに長くて凝らないかな？
健二：あ～、凝ってるかもな。…マッサージでもしてあげる？
愛花：ふふ、得意よ？マッサジ。パパなんて、お口とパカッと開けて寝ちゃうんだから。いつか、機会があったらやってあげるね♥
健二：（うーん、楽しみだ！）
They kiss at the giraffe exhibit.
愛花：このまま、ずっとこうしていられたらいいのに…。
Manaka wants to have lunch with Kenji.
愛花：ね、お昼しない？ちょっと、おなか空いちゃった。
健二：そうだな。
They return to the riverside restaurant for their
lunch.
And this is
the part where I ask which of the following is true: the low cost of eating out
in Japan, or that Kenji really rakes in the dough in his part time job which he
never attends.
At the restaurant…
愛花：健二くん。
健二：なに？
愛花：こーくん。って呼ばれるの、どう？
健二：そうだな…。今のままでいいんじゃないかな。
愛花：ふぅん。じゃあ、いい。
健二：（今のままが一番だよな！）
They go to the station, where they kiss before making
their way back home.
On the way from New Towano Station back to Manaka’s
house, they hear birds singing.
愛花：見て、小枝に鳥がとまってる。つがいかな？
健二：かもな。寄り添ってて、ヤケに仲がいいし。
愛花：…。
健二：ん？
愛花：わたしも、真似しちゃおうかな？ぴたってして、いい？
They hold hands and kiss as they walk together.
They return to Manaka’s house. Manaka walks back to
her house, but doubles back. She wants a kiss from Kenji.
She gets closer to Kenji…
愛花：よけいに、帰りたくなくなっかう…。
…and they kiss.
愛花：大好きよ？…心から。
Kenji returns home to see that he has a new ringtone.
It’s Manaka saying ピロリーン！メールです.
Kenji then goes for library committee.
健二：トラブルを処理したら先生から褒められた。絶好調だな！
He then proceeds on to the family restaurant for work.
健二：今日は仕事がスムーズに回るな。この調子で頑張るか！
Finally he returns home to sleep.
健二：今日はなんだかすごく体力が軽いな。絶好調って感じだ！
Kenji returns home to sleep. He imagines Manaka
telling him
幸、あれ～！
