17 October

I opened the save file only to be greeted with Manaka saying “Did you turn off the system without saving again?” Oops. I have no idea what happened. Good thing she let me off this time.

On the way to school, the two discuss about the new uniforms the club will be using. Apparently a well-known designer will be designing the uniforms.

Because of what happened over at Yamada’s end, I was going to see whether I could postpone the date this Sunday somewhere else. Hopefully the Sunday after. Unfortunately, I got sidetracked…

Manaka calls Kenji out for a short date just as he was about to pick up the phone to change the timing of their date this Sunday. They agree to meet immediately at the courtyard, where they have a nice heart-to-heart talk.

While it is possible for me to set a time for later, it would be a bad idea since I would definitely forget and Kenji would get a lot of flak.

The crowd at the courtyard thins out, and it’s time for some canoodling.

Sheesh. This portion is massively difficult without a stylus. I’ll try to hold out as much as I can. There is no way I could describe what is happening without sounding really wrong. At least he got 4 hearts.

When the feeling is right, Kenji goes for the kiss, which makes Manaka really happy.

I actually had to use a game guide for that section… At least I got everything right.

Back at the classroom, he successfully postpones his date this Sunday to the following Sunday. It’s actually a better time since they both have mid-terms next week.

I know having a date before exams would keep your spirits up for the exams, but they consume valuable stats. I don’t want to go Groundhog Day on your ass so that you could study for the exams. Also, I managed to dodge a bullet here. Just hope I don’t sleep in too late this Sunday, or Yamada is hosed.

Cultural festival preparation this afternoon after physical education, which incidentally has a test happening. Kenji aces the test, after spending the last 3 months or so failing most of them.

I guess getting a girlfriend also helps with gaining fitness as well…

By the way, cultural festival preparation was not a feature in standard Love Plus. I’m curious to see what actually happens then.

Tech notes: Love Plus+ uses a 256kB save file, which cannot be set manually in the flash cart. The flash cart defaults to 512kB, which may cause data loss when moved back to DraStic.

Late afternoon, and it’s cultural festival preparation. Kenji is tasked with something that is beyond his wingman’s comprehension. Kenji sneaks a kiss with Manaka at the classroom. Not that anyone was looking, right? Hue hue hue.

During the evening Kenji travels to the theme park to have fun by himself. Not bad, he thinks.
As he returns home from the theme park, he receives a mysterious text:

この季節、恋人と旅行にで
も行こうと思っているあな
たは要注意! 旅行先で必
要なのは、あなたの基礎と
なっている力。基礎はバラ
ンス良く!

Before he sleeps, he thinks to himself that Manaka was very humorous today. As he drifts off to sleep, he imagines Takane saying お米、立て~!

I think that line means “Rice, stand!”

Whaaaaaaaaat? (again)
