the station.
健二：（あ、マナカちゃん。もう来てる）
愛花：おはよう。ふふ、行楽日和だね。いい天気でよかった。
健二：ああ、そうだな。
He looks at
Manaka’s hair.
健二：マナカちゃん、その髪…。
Manaka has curled
her hair and tied her ponytail into a bun.
愛花：うん、旅行バージョン。なんて。どう？
健二：（うーん…）
Not bad.
健二：すごくいい、似合ってる！
愛花：やった、大成功！
健二：（うん、いいよな。この髪型！）
Manaka is wearing
a peach blouse over a grey long-sleeved shirt and black stockings.
Come think of it, that was exactly what she
wore last autumn as well.
愛花：今日の服は？似合ってる？
健二：最高、バッチリ！
愛花：ありがとう！ふふ、よかった。
健二：（いいよな。今日のマナカちゃんの服）

健二：よし、じゃあ行くか。
愛花：うん！
They take the
subway line to Towano Station.
健二：えっと…。
愛花：乗り換え、向こうだよ。忘れちゃった？
健二：あ、そうだった。
愛花：ふふ、いこ！
They then
transfer on to the express train.
愛花：この電車に乗ると、旅行なんだーって気分になるね。
健二：そうだな。
愛花：こういう、二人のイベント、たくさん作りたいな。

They arrive at
Atami Station.
車内放送：まもなく熱海に到着いたしましす。本日もご利用いただきまして、まことにありがとうございました。
愛花：着いた。ふふ、行こ。
健二：あんま慌てると危ないぞ。
愛花：大丈夫！
They step off the
train to the station.
愛花：前来たときと、なにか変わってるかな。
健二：どうかな。
What a laugh.
Atami seemed like the kind of town that doesn’t change in a decade.
愛花：ふふ、一緒にたしかめよ。
健二：そうだな、そうしよう。
愛花：うん。

健二：えっと。まずはどこ行くんだっけ。
愛花：最初は、熱海といえば。
After kissing,
they then proceed on.
They walk to the
Omiya no Matsu.
健二：これか…。有名だよな。
愛花：うん。名物だけど…やっぱり可哀想。
健二：俺は、絶対にマナカちゃんを足蹴にしたりはしない。
愛花：わたしだって、他の人と結婚なんて…。
健二：マナカちゃん…。
愛花：健二くん。
A man suddenly
interrupts their conversation.
男Ａ：あのー。お取込み中、悪いんですけど…。
健二：え？
男Ａ：この像の前で写真撮りたいんで、カレシさんシャッター押してくれません？
女Ａ：お願いしまーす。
健二：はい、もちろん。
Kenji then takes
a photo for the pair.
Kenji and Manaka
return to the main street afterwards.
愛花：ふふ。
健二：どうした？
愛花：さっきの人に、“カレシさん”って呼ばれたね。
健二：うん、そりゃあ。
愛花：誰も知ってる人がいないところでも、わたしたちちゃんと恋人同士に見えるんだ。
健二：そうなの、当たり前だろ。
愛花：うん、当たり前。ふふ！でも、せっかくいいところだったのにな…。
After kissing,
they proceed on to Izusan Shrine.
They arrive at
the entrance of Izusan Shrine.
健二：うわ、これ登るのか…。何段あるんだ？
愛花：ここからだと600段くらいかな。もっと下からだと800段以上あるんだって。
Considering my sources show no significance
for the number of steps, it’s actually impressive Manaka actually noted the
number.
健二：…。
愛花：さっ、ファイト！
健二：（大丈夫かな…）
They reach the
top of the hill to the shrine.
健二：あー！終わったー！
愛花：ふふ、楽勝！さすが十羽野テニス部！
健二：まかせてとけって！…でもマナカちゃんはもっと余裕そうだな。
愛花：そんなんことないよ。ハアハア言ってるもん。
At least you
aren’t me.
健二：（そうは見えない…さすがマナカちゃん）
They look around
the shrine.
愛花：この神社はね、北条政子がデートをした場所なんだって。
健二：じゃあ、源頼朝と？なんだかご利益ありそうだな。
愛花：うん、お参りしよ。
They then proceed
to pray at the shrine.
健二：（マナカちゃんとの仲がもっと進展しますように）
I went to the shrine but didn’t pray there.
Probably should have done that, just to signal that I visited.
健二：（なんだろう。前よりマナカちゃんと親密になった気がする！）
愛花：ご利益、あるといいね。
They then kiss at
the shrine before leaving.
1300 hrs
健二：さて、次はどうするんだっけ。
愛花：うん、次は…。
A rather loud rumble
can be heard.
愛花：‼
Äääähhhmmmm…
健二：⁉
愛花：…。
健二：そういや、こっち着いたから何も食べてなかったな。
愛花：う、うん。
健二：遊ぶのに夢中で気づかなかった。そろそろ昼にしよう。
愛花：そうだね…。
They kiss at the
main street before they proceed on.
愛花：行こう、あなた。
健二：ああ。
After a while,
they walk to an oceanfront restaurant Hana no Yosei (花の妖精).
愛花：ほら、ここだよ。
健二：へー、こんなとこにレストランか！
愛花：下さえ見なければ、いい景色で素敵だよ？入ろ。
健二：（この景色なら、食事も楽しそうだな）
They then take
their seat within the restaurant.
愛花：やっと落ち着いたね。
健二：考えてみたら、かなりハードなスケジュールだよね。
愛花：１泊２日だもん。しょうがないよ。
Really though, 2
nights and 1 day is more than enough for Atami.
Especially if I
arrange my locations properly unlike you guys.
健二：そうだな。じゃあ、食べた後もがんばって回るか！
愛花：うん。

As they walk back
from the beach…
愛花：いたっ。
健二：どうした？
They reach the main
street.
愛花：靴ずれしちゃったみたい。
健二：靴ずれ？慣れてない靴はいてきたのか？
愛花：うん。
健二：結構歩くのに。
愛花：そうだけど…せっかくの旅行なんだもん。オシャレ、したくって。
Can Manaka for once wear some shoes that
actually fit?
健二：マナカちゃん…。そうだよな、ごめん。足、見せて。
愛花：うん、ありがとう。大したことないと思うから。

They walk around
Atami. Kenji finds a ropeway.
健二：おー、ほんとにロープウェイだ。
愛花：遊園地みたいで、面白そう。
健二：上のほう、結構高いぞ。ちょっと怖そうだな…。
愛花：ほら、早く行こう。置いてっちゃうよ？
健二：わかったわかった。
After kissing,
they board the ropeway.
健二：おお、動いてる。結構早いな。
愛花：うん、すぐ着いちゃいそう。ねえ、着くまで手握っていい？
健二：いいけど、なんで？やっぱ怖い？
愛花：ううん。違うけど、いいでしょ？
Manaka moves
closer to Kenji. They hold hands as they take the ropeway.
They arrive at
the end station. The sign says あいじょう岬.
愛花：前にわたしたちがかけた錠前、残ってるかな。
健二：どうかな、もう奉納されたのかも。気になる？
愛花：ううん。だってまた来られたってことは、ご利益があったってことでしょ？

They walk over to
Atami Castle.
愛花：あ、ねえねえ。あそこから街が見渡せるみたい！
健二：お、どれどれ。
愛花：駅があの辺りかな。あそこがビーチで…今日泊まるホテルはどこかな？
You can’t actually see Hotel Ohnoya from the
Atami Castle parking lot.
健二：たしか…あそこらへんじゃないか？
愛花：…。
健二：マナカちゃん？
愛花：夜に来たら、もっとキレイだろうな…。
健二：あ、そろそろホテル行かないと。
愛花：うん。んー、今日だけで色んなところ行ったね。
健二：だな。でもまだまだこれからだぞ？
愛花：ふふ、うん！
They kiss outside
the castle before they walk off.
愛花：ワンモアキス…なんて…。

愛花；何度も２人で泊まったりしたら、変に思われないかな？
健二：変って…なにが？
愛花：それは…だってわたしたち高校生だし。
健二：関係ないって。別にやましいことなんてないだろ？

They kiss outside
the hotel.

And then they enter
the hotel.
フロント：いらっしゃいませ。ホテル大野屋へようこそ。
No way the crowd BGM would fit the real Hotel
Ohnoya. The real location is much too deserted.
健二：予約してる小島ですけど…。

仲居：それでは、お部屋へご案内いたします。
健二：行こう、マナカちゃん。
愛花：うん。
仲居：奥様、お荷物をどうぞ。
健二：⁉
At this point, I am starting to think the two
have the memory of a goldfish.
Because this shit has happened for ALL THE
TIMES they have visited Atami.
愛花：えっ…わ、わたし⁉は、はい…ありがとうございます。
仲居：こちらになります。
健二：…。
愛花：奥様だって…。
健二：はは。夫婦に見えるのかな、俺たち。
愛花：…。
健二：（マナカちゃん、真っ赤だ。俺も恥ずかしいけど、悪い気分じゃないなあ）
They follow the
porter to their hotel room.
仲居：それではごゆっくり…。
The porter then
takes her leave.
愛花：…。
健二：やっぱりこの瞬間は緊張するよな。
愛花：うん、そのうち慣れるのかな？
健二：どうだろう…でも慣れちゃったら損した気にならないか？楽しみがなくなるじゃん。
愛花：もう、何それ。
Later on…
健二：おっ、準備できてる。
愛花：ふふ、おいしそう。あ、ご飯よそうから座って？
健二：サンキュ。
They go to the
table to have their dinner.
健二：よし、エビ食うぞ！エビ！
At this point I have given up all hope of your
table manners improving.
愛花：もう、慌てちゃお行儀悪いよ。いただきます。
健二：はい、いただきます。
They finish their
dinner.
健二：明日はどうしよっか。
愛花：また、あそこに行きたいな。
健二：あそこって…例のビーチ？
愛花：うん、わたしたちの思い出の場所だもん。
健二：そうだな、また探してみるか…。
2200 hrs
愛花：そういやマナカちゃん、夜の景色はキレイだろうなって言ってたな。
Kenji evaluates his
options:

健二；マナカちゃん。夜の散歩、行かないか？
愛花：お散歩？
健二： 今日さ、街を見渡したとき、夜になったらキレイだろうなって言ってただろ？
愛花：うん…行ってみたいけど。もう暗いから、危ないしやめておこう？
健二：そっか…そうだな。わかった。
30 October, Sunday
They go to the
hotel lobby for their breakfast.
健二：やっぱホテルの朝食といったらビュッフェだよな。
愛花：うん、楽しい。
健二：よし、俺はご飯とパン両方食べるぞ！
愛花：もう、おなか壊しちゃうよ？
健二：（そういうマナカちゃんも結構…）
愛花：…なに？
健二：はは、なんでも。ついでに飲み物取ってくる。
They have a light
conversation as they eat.
健二：よし、行くか。そろそろ出る準備しよう。
愛花：うん。
They walk to the
front desk to check out.
健二：いいホテルだったよな。
愛花：うん、また来たいな。
They then walk out
the hotel.
愛花：伝説の思い出の場所、また行けるといいな。
健二：大丈夫だろ、俺たちなら。
Though there are
many people around, Kenji manages to find an opportunity to kiss Manaka.
Later on…
1200 hrs
They arrive at
Hatsushima.
健二：おー、着いたな。
愛花：うん、なんだかカワイイ島だね。
健二：はは、サイズ的にな。まずはどうしよっか。
愛花：…おなか、すいたな。
健二：よし。じゃあまずはなんか食べよう。
They kiss at the
pier before setting off for lunch.
They arrive at the
shop Megane-maru (めがね丸)
愛花：ねぇねぇ、ここにしよ？
健二：お、美味しそう。入るか。
愛花：ふふ。やっぱりお刺身が美味しいね。
健二：こっちの煮付けも美味しいぞ。食べる？
They talk as they
have their lunch.
After lunch, they
walk out of the eatery.
健二：さて、見つかるかな。伝説のビーチは。
愛花：うん、見つけよ。
They kiss outside
the eatery before setting off to find the legendary beach that they went to the
first time there (21 December 2014).
1500 hrs
愛花：たしかこのあたりだったんだけど…。
健二：だよな。おかしいな、なんでだろ…。
愛花：…。
健二：マナカちゃん…。
愛花：しょうがないよね、伝説だもん…でも、また行きたかったな。
They couldn't find
the beach.
1600 hrs
They walk back to
the jetty to return to the mainland.
健二：んーっ。旅行もそろそろ終わりか。
愛花：うん…。
健二：マナカちゃん…。ほら、行こう。
愛花：初島とも、お別れだね。
健二：ああ。
They take the ferry
back to Atami.
健二：疲れてない？船に酔ったとか。
愛花：ううん、大丈夫。
They then walk to
Atami station.
愛花：電車の時間まで、少しあるね。
健二：そうだな、ちょっとゆっくりするか。
