Kenji goes for tennis club in the morning, as usual.
健二：よし、絶好調だ！この感覚。忘れないようにしないと。
愛花：リラックス、リラックス。
Unfortunately, his library committee work didn’t go
too well…
健二：今日は仕事が進まないな。早く帰るのは無理か…。
Neither does his attempt to style himself at home
before the date.
健二：ダメだ、全然きまらない。これじゃカッコつかないな…。
Had to turn
back time by 5 hours because I was too caught up playing Far Cry 4.
Kenji arrives at New Towano Station early.
健二：マナカ姫は、まだ来てないみたいだな。
Manaka arrives shortly after.
愛花：ふふ、お待たせ。今日は暑いね。
健二：そうだね。
Everyday’s
hot here. Get on my level.
Manaka has decided on a twin-tailed hairstyle for
today’s date.
愛花：髪型変えちゃった。どう？
Nah.
健二：そうだな…。よくないかも。
愛花：えっ、うそ。ダメか…。
She is also wearing a pink blouse.
愛花：最近、こういう可愛いのが好きなんだけど、どう？カレシとして感想を聞かせてくれない？
健二：そうだな…。いいんじゃない。
愛花：ほんと？よかった。あなたのことなら、なんでもわかるんだから、なんて。
They kiss outside the station before setting off for
karaoke.
After they arrive at Towano station, Manaka starts to
feel thirsty.
They go to the nearby coffee shop for some drinks.
愛花：健二くん。
健二：なに？
愛花：こーくん。って呼ばれるの、どう？
健二：そうだな…。今のままでいいんじゃないかな。
愛花：ふぅん。じゃあ、いい。
健二：（今のままが一番だよな！）
They proceed on to the karaoke house.
They hear some crows on a power line.
Something
you will never see happening where I’m at, since mynahs are more common and
there are no such things as power lines here. I imagine underground cables
would be a liability when it comes to fault lines, though, so I don’t hold it
against the Japanese.
愛花：あ…あそこの電線…。
健二：うわ、すごい数のカラスだ。…なんか、みんなこっち見てないか？
愛花：お目目が可愛いから、見られるのは構わないけど…下は通りたくない、かな？
健二：確かに危険かもな。遠回りするか。
愛花：賛成。そのほうが、あなたともちょっとだけ長く一緒にいられるし。カラスさんにお礼、言わなくちゃ。
Manaka wants Kenji to hold her hand, which Kenji
lovingly obliges.
They also kiss on the way there.
愛花：キスって、気持ちいいんだね？
They arrive at the karaoke house.
愛花：…ね、聞いていいかな？
健二：ん？なんだ？
愛花：このボタンって、なに？
It’s the
ejection seat button.
Just
kidding.
I have no
idea either; I can’t see it.
健二：ああ、これを押すと、機会のほうで勝手にハモってくれるんだよ。
I don’t
quite understand.
愛花：‼
Why the
surprise?
健二：ちなみにこのボイスチェンジャーってのは、俺の歌えば女声に、マナカ姫が歌えば男声になる機能で…。
Ah that
explains it. On-the-fly Autotune, pretty much.
Why don’t
we get this kind of tech back at home?
愛花：すごい…！もっと早く聞けば良かったな。ね、じゃあ次はデュエットしよう？あっ、デュエットでも、ハモリは有効なのかな？ねぇ、このパチパチボタンって、ひょっとして拍手してくれるの？聞いてる？
健二：（ハハッ、なんだか小さい子どもみたいだな）
Kenji kisses Manaka, and leaves Manaka wanting for
more.
Oh god I
want to get off Takane-san’s Wild Ride.
Finally, after 25 kisses, Manaka breaks off.
愛花：あなたが、まだ足りないよ…。
For some
reason, these endless kisses occur when I am too tired to give support all the
way or when I’m pressed for time.
Manaka still has time and wants to be with Kenji for
longer, so Kenji suggests the amusement park.
It’s kind
of weird actually. Usually when I go for karaoke it usually lasts way longer
than 3 hours.
Oh well,
game logic.
Manaka agrees to Kenji’s suggestion, and they set off
for the amusement park.
On the way to the amusement park…
愛花：あっ。ステキなお庭。
健二：へー…手入れ、大変そうだな。
愛花：でも、好きな人だったら、お手入れも楽しんやってそうじゃない？
健二：ああ、たしかに。
愛花：愛する人と一緒に住んでたら、なおさら。わたしもそうなれるといいな…。
They hold hands and kiss on the way to the amusement
park.
They arrive at the amusement park.
健二：さ、着いたよ。
愛花：うん、着いたね？
There apparently is a special performance for the
summer.
健二：おっ、ホラ、マナカ姫。お姫さまが手振ってくれてるぞ？おおー。
愛花：…。
Manaka isn’t answering, so Kenji asks her what’s going
on.
健二：どうした？
Manaka turns around to face Kenji.
愛花：ウインク、したね？
健二：うん、してた。
愛花：…それに、投げキッスまで。
I probably
should have warned you about how Manaka can get jealous…
健二：…そりゃ、ファンサービスってやつで。
愛花：あっ、王子さまがわたしに手を振ってくれてる♥
Et tu, Manaka?
健二：なに⁉
愛花：ファンサービスなんだよね？ふふ、今度はわたしも、手、振り返しちゃおうっと。
健二：（うう、言動には気をつけよう…）
They kiss at
the amusement park.
愛花：このまま、ずっとこうしていられたらいいのに…。
They then have dinner at the Japanese snack house.
健二：（マナカ姫のこと、そろそろ別の呼び方してみるかな…？）
Kenji evaluates his options:
- 高嶺くん
- ドクター (Doctor…?)
- ジュリエット
- お嬢 (No, she doesn’t like people drawing attention to her high status)
- やっぱり、このまま
健二：ま、いっか…。
愛花：…？
It’s time to go home.
They take the train back to New Towano Station.
On the way back to Manaka’s house...
愛花：ふふ、かわいいカップル。
健二：ああ…中学生かな。
Here’s a
thought: who’s going to bet I won’t get
a girlfriend in university?
I
personally put my bet on that happening.
愛花：かな？手繋いでる、いいな…。
健二：いいな…。
愛花：もう、お互い何言ってるんだろね？ふふ。
They hold hands and kiss on the way back to Manaka’s
house.
They reach Manaka’s house. As she walks back, she
turns back, wanting a goodbye kiss from Kenji.
Unfortunately with all the neighbours watching, Kenji
only manages to touch Manaka for a bit before Manaka decides to return home.
For a late
evening in a community of semi-detached houses, it’s really a lot of activity.
