健二：そうなのか？
男子部員：あぁ。目立つし、頼れるやつだってな。
健二：（格好や行動に気を付けてるからかな…）
愛花：もう…あんまり魅力的になっちゃダメ。なんて。ふふ。
He then goes to the convention centre to watch a play.
健二：こんなとこに休憩所があったのか。彼女と来たとき、ゆっくりできそうだな。
He arrives at New Towano Station early for his date.
Manaka arrives shortly after.
愛花：こんな髪型にしてみたの。どう？
I can’t
quite put my finger on how Manaka looks like.
I think she
reminds me of those female leads in K- or J-dramas.
健二：そうだな…。いいと思うよ。
愛花：よかった、気に入ってくれて。似合わないって言われたらどうしようって思ってた。
Manaka is wearing an orange long-sleeved shirt with
olive green trimmings and white denim shorts.
愛花：最近、こういう可愛いのが好きなんだけど、どう？カレシとして感想を聞かせてくれない？
健二：そうだな…。いいんじゃない。
愛花：ほんと？よかった。あなたのことなら、なんでもわかるんだから、なんて。
They kiss at the station before setting off for their
date.
愛花：嬉しい、本当に…。
They stop by at the nearby coffee shop for some
refreshments.
愛花：健二くん。
健二：なに？
愛花：こーくん。って呼ばれるの、どう？
健二：そうだな…。今のままでいいんじゃないかな。
愛花：ふぅん。じゃあ、いい。
健二：（今のままが一番だよな！）
They then walk to the karaoke parlour.
愛花：車の運転免許って、取るの大変なのかな。
健二：どうかな…取りたいの？危ないからって禁止されてそうなイメージなんだけど。

愛花：将来、お医者さんになるなら必要なものだから、それは大丈夫。うちは回診もしてるから。
健二：なるほどな…ちゃんと考えてるんだ。

They arrive at the karaoke parlour and waste no time
in singing.
健二：マナカちゃん、緊張してる？
愛花：…実はちょっと苦手なの。歌ってないときに何をしていいかわからないし。

愛花：歌ってるときは視線が気になるし…特に、あなたと一緒だとドキドキしちゃって。
健二：じゃあ、あんまり見ないほうがいい？

They kiss in the karaoke room.
愛花：いつか…もっと…ね？
Manaka still has time, so Kenji suggests going to the
zoo.
愛花：うん、行こうか？
They take the train to the zoo.
On the way from the station to the zoo…
愛花：あっ。ステキなお庭。
健二：へー…手入れ、大変そうだな。
At least
you have the option of having a yard.
You’d have
to be ludicrously rich to have a yard over where I live in.
愛花：でも、好きな人だったら、お手入れも楽しんやってそうじゃない？
健二：ああ、たしかに。
愛花：愛する人と一緒に住んでたら、なおさら。わたしもそうなれるといいな…。
They kiss along the way.
愛花：好き。…ふふっ。
They arrive at the zoo. Kenji suggests the petting
zoo.
Manaka agrees with Kenji’s suggestion.
愛花：ふふっ、やっぱりかわいいな。
健二：マナカちゃんん家って、動物禁止？
愛花：ダメって直接、言われたことはないの。でも、まずはわたしがキチンとしないと、って思ってる。だから、飼うとしたらわたしが独り立ちしてからかなって。
健二：そっか。飼うとしたら、何がいい？

健二：だったかさ、つがいが良くないか？
愛花：どうして？
健二：１羽だけだと寂しいだろ？それに、俺って一緒に戯れたいし。
That was
the idea when we bought Errol to accompany Hedwig, then Kiwi to accompany Errol
after Hedwig died (why did we name our first parrot after the owl that died?).
Now both
parrots hate us. Couldn’t quite get Errol nor Kiwi to like us like Hedwig did.
愛花：…あっ、うん！そ、そうだよね？え、えぇと…。
健二：ん？
愛花：ううん！じゃあ、わたし…その、名前、考えておこうかな？うん。
健二：（マナカちゃん、なに慌ててるんだ？）
They then kiss at the petting zoo.
愛花：大好きよ？…心から。
After that they then go to the riverside restaurant.
健二：（マナカちゃんのこと、そろそろ別の呼び方してみるかな…？）

After dinner, they kiss at the station.

愛花：う、うん。今、宇宙人みたいな何かが、ふよふよって…見えなかった？
健二：見てないけど…気のせいじゃないか？風船とか。
愛花：…そう、だよね？もっとヘンな動きしてたけど…そう思うことにする。うん。
They kiss on the way home.
愛花：わたしって、幸せだよね…。
They arrive at Manaka’s house. She walks back, wanting
a goodbye kiss from Kenji.
愛花：帰りたくないわたしを、あやしてくれる？
They then kiss outside the house.
愛花；これからも、たくさんしようね？
He finally goes to the river for the evening.
健二：こんなとこに休めそうな場所があったのか。彼女と来たとき、ゆっくりできそうだな。
